Barcelona will appeal against UEFA's decision to punish one of the players, Sergio Busquets, with two-match ban as much. The sentence was handed down a red card related Busquets against Benfica in the Champions League Group G qualifier on Tuesday (02/10/2012).
In the game ending 2-0 to Barcelona was, Busquets got a red card in the 88th minute after captain clashed with the host, Maxi Pereira.
"Barcelona decides to appeal to the Board of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary sanctions related to two match ban Sergio Busquets, after he was red carded in the second match of the Champions League group stage," the statement as reported by the Barcelona official website.
With the sanctions, Busquets will miss home games-away "Blaugrana" in the Champions League continued against Celtic Glasgow on October 23 and November 7.
